International Alumni Meetings Abroad (Action code: A)

This action in the HHF project is about representatives of the MUG meeting our international alumni abroad.

Two visits abroad were planned: in Sweden (5 days) and in Norway (4 days). The choice of the countries was based on the numbers of graduates from MUG’s English Division, regardless of the number of other MUG Graduates residing there, which is also significant.

In Sweden the MUG was represented by the Rector Prof. Marcin Gruchała, Vice-Dean English Division Prof. Michał Żmijewski, Prof. Sławomir Wójcik, Head of the Admission Office MUG, and Dr. Jacek Kaczmarek (Int’l Alumni Relations Officer), who all attended the official meeting with MUG Alumni at at the Polish Embassy in Stockholm on 13 Sep., 2019. The latter two, Prof. Wójcik and Dr. Kaczmarek, participated in the entire planned visit to Sweden 12-16 Sep., 2019, which included meetings with MUG Alumni in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

In Norway the MUG was represented by Dean Faculty of Medicine Prof. Maria Dudziak, Prof. Ewa Bień of the Department of Pediatrics, Hematology and Oncology, Chief Tutor of ED Pediatric Oncology Scientific Circle, and Dr. Jacek Kaczmarek (Int’l Alumni Relations Officer). The MUG Team had meetings with our ED Alumni in Bergen and Oslo.

The meetings are part of a project under the “International Alumni” Program operated and financed by #NAWA Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
